FOLLOW AMERICAN CARNIVAL BATIK LECTURER IN SURABAYA

Angie is just two months teaching English in UKP Surabaya Satra that, seen wearing shades of red batik with heart and follow the carnival from Building to Building T P in the environment UKP Surabaya.
"Batik shirt I was wearing was a gift from a friend and I am glad to wear them. I am also pleased to see an Indonesian batik clothes, Batik Indonesia because it is very beautiful," he said.
Lecturer who has lived in Solo, Central Java, for six months in about nine years ago that rate, Batik Indonesia's special, because the kinds of batik in Indonesia is very much.
"In Singapore there are also different batik and batik from other regions is very beautiful. Each area is different and that difference is the culture of Indonesia," he said.
Angie is one of about 1500 carnival participants to walk around 300 meters away, including the Head of Culture and Tourism (Disbudpar) city of Surabaya, Banded Widowati.
Thousands of batik carnival participants came from students and lecturers UKP, KiBaS (Community Batik Surabaya) from different villages, Danar Hadi Batik House, Studio Dance "Ayu" in the Abstract, students SMPK Petra 5, SDK and SMPK Carolus, SMK 11, as well as students SDN 2 and 3 Abstract.
While the participating communities, among others, batik Batik Community Seru (Batik Art Mangrove Rungkut), Community Jetis Batik Sidoarjo, East Java Batik House in tiles, Community Batik Painting "Klampis Ireng" in Hamlet Kupang, Community Circle Batik Setren Kali Surabaya, and so forth.
Arriving at the verandah Building P, carnival participants saw the exhibition "enCHANTING BATIK" featuring 789 designs ranging from batik cloth, clothing, batik equipment, souvenirs, knick-knacks and batik, which is very diverse.
Carnival participants can also see "talkshows", Nursing Batik and Batik mural on the parking lot of Building P at UKP Surabaya.
"Batik is a cultural heritage and what the UKP is support for the development of batik, which is not merely artifacts (ancient objects), but the heirloom (heritage) culture," said Kadisbudpar Surabaya, Banded Widowati.
On other campuses, one thousand students, staff, and faculty Ciputra University (UC) Surabaya photographed together with wearing batik forming configuration UC logo and photo-yack on the stairs and park.
"So, there is a togetherness that were never imagined all this time, especially colleagues from Ciputra Ciputra Golf School also came without being invited, so loud and proud," he said.
While at the University of Airlangga (Airlangga University), Surabaya, 95 percent of students were also seen wearing a batik. The same thing is seen on the streets of Surabaya city shows many townspeople who wear batik.
