Problem Batik China, Entrepreneur Batik Protest Government

JAKARTA, WEDNESDAY - Indonesian Batik Cooperatives Association or GKBI rate, China's entry into the Indonesian batik batik industry will endanger national. Therefore, GKBI will ask the Minister of Trade to stop importing China's batik.

According Norbasha, nowadays, it imported batik in China is still a small capacity. "About 5 percent are on the market. However, do not be silenced. Imports had to be stopped. If not, jeopardize national batik industry," said Norbasha.

Norbasha states, Malaysia, until now prohibited at all batiks from Indonesia into the country. "The period we let China enter batik? We are too lax. This is what causes us to lose production to production abroad," said Norbasha.
