Young Artists Showcase Works Batik Poland

Young Artists Showcase Works Batik Poland

Indonesian batik art no doubt have attracted worldwide attention. So many artists from all over the world who want to learn how to batik good. Some of them came from Poland. Results batik art works of Polish artists of all ages are now on display at Bentara Budaya Jakarta, until February 5. With the title "The Batik Painting Exhibition", this exhibition displays attractive motifs with the particularities of each. Polish artists' aesthetic is so good to be able to show special patterns. The artists who regarded the young-old started nine to 25 years-has had a good batik techniques and high creativity. This is apparent from the coloration and closing techniques, terraced candles, as well as varied motifs. Some of them even have to do exploration by combining the art of batik and modern elements. Batik style pernuangan process starts from a personal expression through the technique of batik dyeing, coloring and pelorotan repeatedly had indeed flourished long ago in Yogyakarta. In this exhibition, young artists took the idea based on the situation in his country, as did Agnieszka Zagowalko, aged 17 years, through his work "Slupsk, a fragment of a Building in Kollataja Street." Yet, surprisingly, many of which draw inspiration from various locations in Indonesia, although not all of them had ever come to Indonesia. They show the atmosphere, figures, and buildings. So, do not be surprised if the building of Borobudur temple, the figure of Balinese dancers, and the atmosphere of the street in Kuningan, Jakarta appear as objects Natalia Sintadewi, staff of the Embassy of Poland said that the painter is seeing examples of various books there and talk about Indonesia. This means that although never, we will be fooled and think this is Indonesian batik artists. Worth noting from this exhibition is the fact that the art of batik has been developed, not only in Asia but has stepped up to the other continents. A fact which arguably encouraging but still implies a warning. Suppose, the nation alone can not preserve batik, lest the pride of Indonesia this tradition will instead become the property of other nations. Hopefully it will not happen.
